I don't mind spending money on add on's but it always takes me along time to decide on what to get.

With this JD kit just about how much more zip is going to be added to the rip i already got with my stock 450 ???

I am going to have to find new riding friends if i go any faster then ones i got now are already pissed !!!!

ANY aftermarket fuel screw will make your day. I can't get over how much easier it is to fine tune the fuel mixture with just my fingers. They are the BOMB

After one ride with the JD kit installed I noticed a definate mid range hit over stock. The throttle response is the real eye opener. I almost looped the bike twice getting use to it. The power comes on much quicker with the JD kit. If you want your CRF, or any thumper, to run it's best then buy this kit. It's money well spent.

Sounds good to me, i can use a mid range hit in the sand wash's , should keep the bike standing a little straighter off apex

Thanks !

Where do you buy these? How much? How much is the fuel screw?

How hard is the kit to install...how long does it take? And is there instructions with the fuel screw telling you how to fine tune?

JD jetting kit.........$65
Fuel screw............$20
CRF fun factor......priceless

Here is the link to buy the JD kit

I use a storm cycles air screw, but there are several others.
I like the storm screw cuz it's soooo easy to read. The website is

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Both items are a snap to put in (30 minutes for both)and the JD kit has all the instructions and tells you how many turns out the fuel screw should be set to start. I ended up turning mine out a little more (1/4 turn more) to fine tune. Get both and be very happy

Sweet things Woody. I like the oil filler caps a lot!!!
It's a bit strange! here in Belgium, a lot of guys like the CRF more then the YZF, because the CRF is a lot smoother on the throttle then the Yam, You guys just want to make it more snappier, maybe you could just have bought a Yamaha then. J/K
