Besides, he's a new man. He doesn't wreck now. That was the Bates of old.

Thanks. I was just curious, that's all. The needle in mine is already a triple taper, and for the price they get for them you'd think it would be custom! : Anyway, thanks!

Falling down and trying to jump on top of a little kid are two different things though

Actually, it's bates 3.1

Faded here's what he says about the kits:
Quote:
JAMES DEAN (JD) JETTING KIT

The James Dean custom FCR jetting kit is designed to improve throttle response throughout the range by using specially made multi-taper needles never before used with the 4-stroke Keihin FCR carburetor. These are based on the most popular settings used by new generation MX and off-road 4-stroke riders around the globe and the results are impressive.
Exceeds the performance of the popular EMN, DTM, and other standard factory needle options
Low and High altitude needles
Keihin Main Jets included
Dyno Tested
Developed and tested from sea level to 12000ft elevation
You can’t buy this from any OEM factory or Keihin aftermarket. It’s JD’s prescription for the headpipe blues.

Custom designed Keihin FCR triple taper needles:
Low altitude, standard temperature needle
High altitude, warm temperature needle
4 Keihin main jets
Spare needle clip
Here's a pic of the kit:

Most likely since that is his specialty. I was just curious, that's all, not really looking for one for my bike. Besides, I have five different needles to choose from, I don't know what I'd do with two more.

Yeah... My wifes going to kill me when they all show up, but oh well.

The tax return this year was VERRY good, so I decided to spoil myself a little.

The wifes getting central air out of it, so it should be okay.

The person that jets my bike is Scott Summers' engine builder and he told me to buy it because the needles have different taper than the ones you can buy from the factory. My bike is spot on. The are so many people out there that buy aftermarket pipes and modify the motor before they ever know what the bike is capable of by getting the jetting right.

I'm late on this thread but here's my 2 cents. First, way to go Woody. Bling factor 10 !!!!!!!!!! The JD kit is worth every penny. The clip ends of the needles are colored so there is no way to confuse them. The kit goes in way easy and will make your CRF rip. Hey Cowboy, If you bought your TA pipe new it cost around $350, right? Cough up $65 and make your bike run even better. It made such a difference on my bike. It really woke it up and my plug looks perfect

Thanks strykmaster, I knew you'd approve

Reborn, I actually ended up getting some other stuff too. I didn't get the axel spacers, but I did get the axel blocks, and a red master cylendar cover to go with it. Woo Hoo...
