Default GYT-R triple clamp handguard mounts

Product
GYT-R (Genuine Yamaha Technology-Racing) triple clamp handguard mounts

Installation
Installation was a breeze, the most important thing is to be sure to properly re-torque the triple clamp bolts (which can be a bit of a pain). Also worth noting, I had to tweak my handguards a little to make them line up with the triple clamp mounts.

Price/Value
Normally I think these run about $100, I think I paid about half that on Ebay. These are worth their weight in gold for anyone who runs wrap-style aluminum handguards, especially the less durable ones like the Rally Pro's I have on my bike. With the standard mount (which clamps onto your bar), the handguards can twist and get bent in a crash. These mount the end of the handguard solid to the upper triple and eliminate twisting.

Fit/Finish
These mounts are cut from thick, durable aluminum and have a nice clear aluminum finish. They even have GYT-R laser etched in them, which I thought was a nice touch and bumped the bling factor up 1 point

Impressions
I'm very pleased with these. They make the handguards a lot stronger and greatly decrease the chances of you bending your handguards. One nice thing about the GYT-R kit is it comes with new, longer bolts for the upper triple clamp that are also a little heavier duty than the stock bolts to take the abuse better. I'm definitely going to run triple clamp hanguard mounts on my next bike.

Notes
Although these are built by Yamaha, they will fit any make of bike with side bolt triple clamps. If you need some for front bolt clamps, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Where can I get one?
GYT-R products are only available from your Yamaha dealer (or Ebay ) There are other companies that make them, such as Cycra, and Cycra has a complete kit that you can order- handguards, triple clamp mounts and all, but the Cycra setup does not include the new, longer upper triple clamp bolts.

Here's a pic of the mounts installed on my bike. The bar pad was removed for the pic only
