We're thinking of getting a trailer this year. My parents want to get one around 7x16-18ft. Just wondering if anyone has any comments on certain brands, types, sizes, and accesories ( work benches, cabinets, etc.)

I was looking a while back and woody_raptor gave the advice of make sure it has at least 12" or 13" wheels. Anything smaller will drag too much. He owns a local shop here and does lots of towing so to me it sounded like good advice. So I pass it along to you

we have a 3-place trailer right now, but it needs new wheels. It works great, the only reason i want an enclosed trailer is so i can store all my extra race parts, tools, etc. for when we go racing out of state or a tracks that are far away. But other than that the 3-place one are great.

I currently have a 5x8 utility trailer with 13" wheels. I wished I had upgraded and gotten one with 15" wheels since the bigger the better. Why? A smaller diameter wheel spins faster than a larger one. Thus meaning you have to watch your speeds with a smaller wheel, and make sure the bearings are always packed. Not too many problems that I've heard of with 15" wheels though.

Also, I went with a utility trailer instead of a 3 rail trailer so that I could use it for other things if I needed to. A 3 rail trailer is only good for one thing.
