| Keeto, Years back we used turn buckles on ramp type bumper hitch carriers that we made. They are simple and no one seems to "need" them like they do tie downs. You just put a set of eyes on down below the platform or ramp and then either use harness rings or hooks to the turn buckles. I use them in my van as well to keep from having straps to make it difficult to move around in if you have to get to something. Cheap too. You can two with a pretty light car, but it takes a pretty heavy one to feel stable with 250 lbs of bike and "hauler" on it. I would suggest the trailer or one that can be "stood up" for storage/ |
