Default Woody_CRF have you dialed in the JD kit?

How was the back to back ride? Is it hard to dial in? I bought the SME fuel screw and am close to getting the JD kit..I also bought a 52 rear sprocket that I want to ride a couple times before I put the JD in because I don't want to do 2 mods at once.

Funny you should ask.

I have done nothing at all to it since coming home from Mesquite NV (which is different elevation etc). She's been running like a raped ape though, and my bro just got a pipe for his brand new YFZ450 so we did some dragging, and his bike hauls, but it could NOT hang with my 450, which it used to be able to do. That thing just pulls and pulls and pulls. I think I'm a bit lean on the low end still (hanging idle), and I've got the fuel screw at 2.5 out, so it's time to go up one. Then we'll see.

So dialed in.. NO, but is the $70 with it. I'm going to have to finally say yes. I know it's still off, and my air filter is a bit dirty too, so I'll clean it and do some messing.

All I can say is when we were dragging, I could NOT keep the front tire on the ground. That thing just wants to lift up in every gear. It didn't used to be that way.

You were a hard sell Woody, but you finally felt what I did. The CRF DOES go faster with the JD kit. You will get to your rev limiter even faster with the air box mods. I was listening to other 450's out at Ocotillo and they all sounded like crap compared to my bike. It ran sooooooo smooth with no hesitation at all. Now I just need to figure out what pipe to get.........I'm so confused:

yeah, I think she's faster that's for sure. Whenever I get around to cleaning my air filter I'll remove the back firescreen as well.

Ride and see, then cut the air box next.

I'd have to agree, no hesitation what so ever.

It improves both model years a bunch. It comes down to the pilot.
Both bikes rip.

You know, I havent jetted my CRF, just a pipe and the airbox mods. I cant keep the front wheel down on that thing. Just roll on the throttle. wonder what the JD kit would do for mine?
