If you used Amsoil's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with an Amsoil EaO oil filter you could go 25,000 between oil changes 15,000 in severe conditions with your diesel engines. That would save you a bunch of $ on your oil changes. You can read a little more about that [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It talks about the 25,000 mile guarantee and the oil filters superior filtration properties.

Using a synthetic oil no matter what brand would increase your fuel milage as much as 2%. Combine that with extended oil changes using Amsoil oil & Amsoil EaO oil filters, and you really end up saving more money than if you use a less expensive conventional oil and say a fram filter. Synthetic oil no matter what brand also keeps your engine running cooler and synthetics don't break down like a conventional refined oil. Think about it....if you drive 30,000 miles/year @ 7,500 mile oil changes you will change your oil 4 times a year. With the Amsoil products you would do that once a year saving the cost of 3 oil changes.

For you gasoline engine guys using XLF oil in your cars and trucks you can go 7,500 miles between oil changes. Read about that oil [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. If you wanted the 25,000 mile extended oil drain intervals then you could use the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with an Amsoil EaO oil filter and acheive the same long drain intervals as with diesel engines. The Series 3000 oil is rated for use in both diesel and gasoline engines.

Note if you are changing from conventional oils to Amsoil synthetic I recommend using the Amsoil engine flush. Why, because you want to clean your engine before adding a clean oil that won't gum up your engine. Even if you have been changing your oil every 3000 miles, if you look under your valve covers there will be a build up of what is commonly refered to as sludge. Read this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and it will explain it further. How do you flush your engine? Buy one of your normal fram type oil filters and change the filter add the engine flush and idle for 20 minutes and drain the oil. You add 1ea 16oz can for every 5 qts of oil capacity. If you run a high oil capacity engine such as the Ford 7.3 diesel (15qts) you would want to drain a little oil out also.

One more way to save is with Amsoil [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]Thier service life is 100,000 miles or 4 years. On the page that the link goes to it explains how to clean them and compares to other brands, the life and filtration technology.

Amen to that brother. Amsoil products are fantastic, I've been using them for 10 years now in all my vehicles and in the YZF450.

Save money by going 25,000 miles between oil changes under normal conditions, under severe conditions (towing, burning rubber, stop & go traffic) 15,000 miles between oil changes.
