| I was wondering what i should set out to get first for my 02 yx250f. -Boyesen Quickshot Cover -Hot Cams Intake-Stage 2 -FMF Megabomb Header -FMF Jetting Kit i really just want to reduce the bog and get more top end power...the bottoms is real good but the mid could also use some work. The top is reallly lacking though. If u have any suggestions-different parts/combinations/diff brands...anything..please tell me im not sure which would be more important to my bikes performance. |

| IMHOP, the Hot Cam will offer the most bang for the buck. Although, I do not see the cam helping the bog. Have you done any jetting on your bike? |

| No not really i was thinking of getting the fmf jet kit because most people that have been talking about jetting have raved about the improvements. Thats really the only kit for my bike that i've seen as well. |

| To be honest, I've not used the FMF jet kits. I do hear some guys rave about them, but I'll be honest, I believe most of the raving comes from getting some suggested specs from them, and then the person actually changes their jetting. I don't think the kit does that much, but just changing the jetting is the key. That's just my opinion though, so take it for what it's worth as I've not used the product. Here's what I suggest. I would do a search in the Yamaha 4-stroke forum for jetting suggestions and see what you come up with. If you don't find what you want, I would suggest getting the James Dean Jet kit for your bike over the FMF kit. I have the James Dean Jetting kit and it's awesome. He does give you advise as to what you should be running based off your elevation and other factors. He has tested pretty much every bike, and I know his product is not just another OEM kit with a different tapered needle. Although, both his needles that you get are tapered different then any other (triple tapered). The other thing, is if you have questions you can actually email him and he'll give you some help. He knows all about these bikes and what each year and model has issues with. He's very knowledgeable, and just a good guy. Anyway, That's what I'd do, and no, I don't get a dang thing from suggesting his product. You can check out his kit for your bike by following this link. | The AP Mod will solve the bog along with the proper leak jet size. I can't remember if the 02's have a leak jet in the bowl, but if it doesn't, James Dean has a bowl that has a leak jet that he sells. If you want a little more mid-top end power, you can try a cam or maybe an FMF Power Bomb head pipe. FYI - if you want a jet kit, go with the JD kit. His are the only ones with multiple needles and they are triple tapered so they perform better than anything else. If you do order from James, shoot him an email first. Ask him what he suggests. He most likely will tell you to get the jet kit as well as the AP and leak jet kit. Tell him you were referred by Redbeard and he may give you a deal. |

| I'll sure do that about e-mailing him. Also, i already have a powerbomb header. I think first im goona get the JD jet kit and the AP cover. Then im goona get the hot cams once i get my jetting dialed. Just what one question. What the hell is a leak jet and leak jet bowl lol. |

| Do not get the Boyesen AP cover. It's worthless! Ask JD about it in your email. Go check out the Technical articles on Thumpertalk to learn more about the leak jet and how your AP actually works. That should be enough to help you understand why you don't need the AP cover. |

I kinda feel bad, JD sent me a bunch of stuff for my YZ450 but I decided to sell it and honestly don't feel like tearing into it. He even sent me a "prototype" needle to test out! Keep the fact that I didn't test any of it on the low. I'm sure all my scrub friends will snatch all of it up like they always do. I get stuff for free and everyone takes it from me! |

| I sure hope I don't have any friends that talk about me like that! |

| If your friends don't talk to you or about you like that then they aren't really your friends as far as I'm concerned. |
