Default SIXSIXONE Pressure Suit Wearers????

I got my Pressure Suit in last night. I wore it around the house a little and I am wondering if I should return it and stick with my regular chest protector. I don't know anyone that wears one locally and I would like some feedback from anyone that wears one in the ATM world.
I chose it for the added protection and I think it will fill this purpose but I'm worried about comfort. It seems pretty bulky and cumbersome. Maybe after a few rides I won't even know it's there. Another concern is that it seems like there would be a greater chance of breaking a collar bone with a hard impact on my shoulder. My chest protector spreads the impact out a little more over my entire shoulder with some webbing. I know this from experience. With the sixsixone, it seems like the impact zone would be more concentrated on the outside point of the shoulder. Is this so?
I bought it from a local dealer/friend and could get my $150 back but would need to do so before I rode in it. I like all the protection it offers everywhere else. Elbows, forearms, spine, kidney belt.
Chances are I will ride in it and give it a chance and then just eat the $150 if I don't like it. But I'd love to hear some feedback first. I read where 04whyzee highly reccomends it but that's only one opinion. It seems that not very many people wear these and there might be a reason for it.
Thanks.

I have one and love it. After a while you won't even notice your wearing it, except in the heat....damn those things are hot, but you can't beat the safety it offers.

I wear one too and you will get used to it. You will never know its there after 10 minutes into your first ride. Nothing is perfect when it comes to protection but the suit offers more than most other forms. You can unzip the chest pad and spinal pad if you are getting too hot and wear a chest protector. The only thing that bothered me was the elbow pad on one side would rub my elbow in a weird way. The fix to that was an under armor long sleeve makes the whole thing more comfortable.

Let us know what you decide.

Thanks for the feedback guys. My first ride with it will probably be the 31st. I'm going to hang onto it and ride. I suspected it might be much more comfortable out on the bike. I'm sure I'll get used to it pretty quick. Might even make me faster!

Worst that happens is you don't like it and sell it on e-bay or here on ATM.

I talked to a local rider that raised his kids on dirtbikes. He's been riding and racing for 42 years! Obviously never made pro but he has a lot of wisdom to share. He said he's been looking very hard at the Sixsixone Pressure Suit. He was very pleased that I had one to look at first hand before he spent the money. That makes it all worth while for me. To me, MX is about everyone sharing their knowledge and staying as safe as possible. I'm just glad it worked out where I could make a tiny contribution. From the feedback I've gotten so far, I suspect I'll hang onto my Pressure Suit and just get use to wearing it. Safety is a bigger deal when you're over 40!

I would guess that it's not as popular because they are a little pricey, but I would wear one.

What do they do? And how much are they and are they worth it?

They protect you from scrapes and bruises on your chest, back, and arms, as well as providing a kidney belt all in one package. They are about 150 bucks and worth every penny. I would have been to the hospital more than once if I had not been wearing it. I do a TON of woods riding and have been hit in the chest numerous times with broken off tree branches that otherwise would have likely cut me up pretty badly.

Hey I got one from Santa this last Christmas and can't wait to try it out. I really don't like the chest protector I was wearing so I thought I would give this a try. It does feel a bit odd though and I am wondering how it will feel on a bike. Tried it on at home and it did seem a little bit odd with that back support, looks like a turtle.

We'll see how it goes.....

BTW Jedi how do you like it, it's been a few years so what did you think?

I've been using one for about 3 years.
After the first ride you won't even know it there!

I love it in the winter. Especially in the trees. I seldom wear it in the summer as it is just too freakin' hot!
