Iam surprized about this! i have been buying from BTO for 3 years and never had a problem like Mama's ever. They have alway's bent over backwards to help out. I reported recently how i had an issue with a pair of fox boots i bought through them, they followed it up with fox and offered me a new pair, no questions asked!

I agree PJ...Ive never had any issues either. Maybe this was an isolated incident or, like many on this board, just wanted to give mama a hard time!

Or maybe Joe is just a dork. That happens. Get someone on a bad day and you get nothing accomplished. Get him on a different day and your results may vary.

Ok... I now have 3 pairs of Oxtar in my possestion.

Get this,

BTO sent me out the 1st replacement the same day the Oxtar dude did like 2 weeks ago.

It took the same amount of time for BTO to send one pair of replacement boots as it did the Oxtar dude to send me two replacements at separate times.

UPS called me yesterday because they had a box from BTO to me, with an invalid address. BTO reversed the numbers in my address!

Well, now about the fit. The right boot feels perfect. The left one is a little uncomfortable. Is this because the recent trauma from the prior boots? I don't know.

I will wear them around the house for an hour or so then decide.

UUUUUUUUUGGGG!

I just found this on the web

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Its the Oxtar sizing chart.

They have an "OLD US" size column and a "NEW US" size column.

Am I missing something??
The US didn't change their sizing guidelines as far as I know. I guess this is why the boxes that they come in say one thing, but the boot always says another.

They need to make up their mind.

Im not keeping these boots. The left one has stitching issues I just noticed. Also after measuring them, they are not the same size. Closer than the last pair, but not close enough. All my other pairs of boots soles measure exact with its mate.

Oh well

So are they both 5's?

If the boot fits fine, but your foot is just sore, you should be fine. You should be able to tell if it's your foot and not the boot.

^^ I posted that before I saw your other posts.

That's stupid about those boots. Good luck with it. I think you're going to need it.

Its really hard to show the differnances in a picture. But maybe this little bit will give you an idea.

Basically just showing the inconsistencies between a pair of boots... The size 5 (37)

I lined up the tread on the soles... look at the difference in the boot length

This is just one example that can actually give an idea of what I am talking about.

No other MX boots we have in this house (at least 7 pairs) have these sort of inconsistencies.

I can't say i have dealt with Joe, but i would ask to speak to Greg if you don't get any satisfaction. I don't see your boot size on that sizing chart you posted (37), it starts at 39. Also you said you tried on a pair of size 5 before you decided to order from Bto. Where did you try these boots, were they sized under the old sizing chart. They maybe if they have been sitting in the shop for a while?
