I am pretty new to this and I got some of these Fly Talon 2's for $93! They fit good and feel good but I was just curious if anyone uses them. I have never had mx boots and I can tell these things will save my feet/ankles big time. Here is a link to the boots: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I personally have never worn the Fly boots however, I did sell alot of them and all of the people that I talked to about them liked them alot in that price point. And yes, they WILL save your ankles and shins.....

I wore them while walking my dog yesterday. LOL I had to break them in a little. I started to get more used to them which was my goal.

...I'll bet you got some strange looks They're an entry level boot and will protect your ankle and shin as good as some of the higher price boots (Not All). What you're sacrificing is comfort and quality. I used them for awhile and was happy, but I like my Astars better. Let us know how they hold up

i had a pair and hurt my feet twice with them. The last time I busted my ankle pretty bad coming off of a jump and landing flat. I havent rode in 3 months becasue of the injury that would have been prevented bya good pair of boots. I have a pair of Scotts Genius on the way.

I agree. The one thing I would say about the Talons is they are very hard to break in. I have SG10's now and right out of the box they were comfy. Fly makes some good gear no doubt. I have one of there helmets. Super light kevlar and I love it.

I think since I got them for $93 they will do there job. If I can get a year or so out of them I will be happy. By then I should know what I want and get those to replace the talons.

Well I got a good hr and a half on them today and man they are tough to get used to. These are my first boots and I can barley feel the brake and shifter. I got better with them so I just need some seat time.

Yup, like I said in the above post, very hard to break in. About the only thing you can do is wear them around the house. Yard work, lawns and stuff like that. Sounds and looks stupid, but it's the fastest way to get the job done.

Is the sizing on there boots correct? I am thinking of buying a pair. I wear 10 1/2 or 11's in shoes and bought size 11 Thor Quadrants and they don't fit. They are like 10's.
