| I did a search here and found lots of positive reviews. Seems like a no brainier. I'd say the odds of eventually taking a header over the bars are 100%. Now that I have my own small track and ride almost everyday, the odds remain high. The other day, I spun my back tire off a jump, equivalent to letting off the gas, and nosed into the face of the landing at a pretty good angle. I figure I was probably going over. But I rode it out and all was good. Of course, the next lap, I made sure I had traction, over jumped, blowing by the turn and couldn't stop before I went through my fence! I'm certain I am getting one this or next week. I do not ride hard or fast. I don't jump anything in other than 2nd gear on my 150RB. I'm not looking for the best unit. Just one that works. Looking at this one perhaps. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ![]() I'll be going to the local Honda shop to see what they have, I prefer to support local business when I can. That said. I'd like to hear from riders that have put theirs to the test, and have been glad they had it on. This is my research for me and the wife unit, so that spending a couple hundred bucks will seem like chump change. Thanks. Btw, A few years ago, I did take a 4th gear big double fall on my KX250. I went over the bars, and the bike landed on me, leaving a tire mark on my helmet and breaking my chest protector. The fall didn't hurt, it was the bike that did the damage, breaking bones. If I had not had good gloves, knee pads, and chest protector, it would have been UGLY to say the least. So I'm certainly not afraid of safety gear, and I know you need to "Dress for the fall, not the ride!" __________________________________________________ A motocross bike is like a drug! | spend the extra and get the leatt brace, it is more adjustable for the correct fit. |

I'd try on both the Leatt and the EVS and see which one fits best. I chose the EVS and it has done its job when put to the test. The EVS also fits me well.

I've had the EVS for over a year now and I love it. I don't even notice I'm wearing it at all now -- though I didn't notice it much previously either -- but I lost some weight and now it fits really good (it was a tad small for my weight at the time -- see below). I would however suggest that if you are 220+ you get an XL. 160-220 a L.

I will not have a chance to try on a bunch of them. I'll see what they have locally and if it fits. I'm done. They go over the chest protector? I'll probably need to take that in with me.

The EVS are what we've been looking at also,Now that we're doing alot more jumping it seems to be a smart idea. Can't hardly justify the cost of the Leatt. Although it would be a whole lot cheaper than a broken neck or spinal injury!!! My broken ankle cost me over $ 50K

Mine goes under the chest protector, and yes, you'll want to take yours with you for sure.
