after spending a few hours lookin up reviews and trying to find a decent set of pads that will stay put, not move around, give me decent amount of air circulation and are comfortable i have finally found something worth buying! these are the only guards i could find that had 100% satisfactory and good reviews. ![]() [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] after hurtin my knee last weekend at about 40mph im not ridin w/o pads again! just thought id share with some of you dirty riders who'd like some decent knee protection w/o having to shell out big $$

Those look okay, but too bulky for my likes. The Answer knee pads are like $65 on locomx, and look worlds better. They all move a little bit, they are on your knees and need the flexibility. Look at your pants and you can tell how much room you will have for certain types of knee protection. Some pants have little or no room, or are not made of flexible material.

My boy's use the Asterics brand, but they are a brace. They are also very prone to breakage around the hinge area and not worth the money.

I realize you've already bought some, but I wanted to add my thoughts. Just in case someone does a search and comes up with this thread. I had a set of these: Don't bother wasting your money. Not only do they have a tendency to slide around, they also offer very little protection. I was involved in a pileup that resulted in a busted kneecap. Not saying those guards caused the kneecap, but I am fairly certain the plastic piece in the shin was responsible for this gash and the severed tendon: I've been wearing a pair of these, which are more of a brace. They're fairly comfortable, don't move around and seem to offer decent protection. Of course, I haven't crash-tested them... yet. They are a little spendy at $99 each, but I had a discount coupon. So far I've been wearing them for about 3 months and am pretty happy with them.

Char your a champ for dealin with those knee pads! I like EVS products, I just bought the EVS RC Evolution neck brace and will probably get the compatible chest protector( yes, the plastic one you wear on the outside). Ive been ran over on starts before, had bar ends almost pierce my ribs, and ran into steel cattle fences in arenacross.
