Default Gaerne SG-12?

Anyone tried these boots yet?

I'm in the market for new boots and though I do not like the price (what's new right ) I like the new features compared to the SG-10's, and might consider spending a bit more to get them.

Anyone wear them? Can you compare them to the SG-10's?

The 10's are about $380, and yes the 12's are about $500.

I know the protection is worth paying for, just not sure I can afford the difference.

I don't know the comparison, but I was glad that the 12s came out just for the fact that I can get a pair of 10s a little cheaper. I would love to hear if the 12s are really that much better.

Your welcome. I've never seen them that cheap from a retailer. I've only seen them sell this cheap on ebay and thats if they're in you size and you win it. Nobody else to bid against here.

Dude, you rock! I've been looking everywhere for a good deal, and that my friend is a good deal! Thank you!

I have placed my order.

Doc, I would try both helmets on and see which you like. For me the Aria fits my head better and I like how they look a little better. I love my TLD though, and I paid half what the Aria cost on a "last year's model" close out.

Awesome. I would buy me an extra set of SG10s to if I had the extra money, but the SGs that I have now are doing good after I did some modifications. I just bought a Bell Moto 8 helmet and it is very lighweight and vents really well, so far I love it. I got it from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for $150 in Black Matte.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Like Woody said, if you could try on both and see which fit you like. For me, I like the Shoei graphics better than Arai.

But, the reality of it all is.....Is a grape like your really worth spending that kind of cash??!!

All I know is I can't wait. I've wanted SG-10's for years, and finally pulled the trigger. The last straw was the Alpinestars were falling off my feet. I lost some more hardware this weekend, so I knew it was time. I just wasn't expecting to find a good deal out of it.

The A-Stars were good boots though. I've had them since 2002 -- and you can tell.
