Early on I had an issue with the buckle screws being to long and tearing up the leather but that has been fixed and is not a problem. Gaerne sent replacement screws no problem/no charge. Also I had one of the pads come loose but some Gorilla glue fixed that. Now the boot is awesome and is holding up very well all the way around.

Has anybody heard about the Oxtar TCX Pro's? Im trying to decide between the Oxtar's and the SG10's

I've tried on the oxtars, and they were nice, but heavy.

I just got the Gaerne SG10 and I love them they are awesome boots. Never had the Oxstars but that was the other boot that I was considering but now that I have the SG10s I don't think that I will be getting anything else unless they make something that compares and is in that price range. Good boot

The only thing that I can see that needs attention on the SG-10 hinged boots at this point is the rubber pad on the inside of the ankle of the boot where the hinge bolts on. It is getting worn down to where the screw can rub the bike frame a little. Like most riders I use that area to grip the bike. So I just called the toll free number for Gaerne about the rubber pad on the ankle mentioned above. They do make replacements. They have one side in stock the other is back ordered for a couple weeks. My cost is $3.00 each plus about $4 shipping. Can't beat that.

four rides on mine and the rubber pad is history....other then that great boot. Guess I call Gaerne and order some replacements.
