EVS Protective gear Just recently tested out my new EVS protective gear. I found a dealership that discounted all their gear by 50%, so I picked up their Flux chest protector and RC3 collar protecter that attaches to it as well and their Option knee and elbow guards. After about 5 hrs of use, I've been impressed with the comfort and protection except for the elbow/forarm guards and a plastic adjustment screw for the chest protector. Although the option elbow/forarm guards do their job well, the criss/cross straps really tend to cut off some blood to the arms even with them just shy of being too loose. I would definately recommend something that slipped onto your arms without straps. As far as the Flux chest protector goes. I love the thing with the use of the collar, but you really need to remove the single fastener that attaches the adjustable bottom protectors that swivel up and down for fitment. It came off somewhere during my ride, but luckily the side straps keep you from losing the lower back portion without it. I replaced the fasteners from the extra aluminum ones that came with the RC3 collar and loctited them and haven't had a problem since.
