Default different boots

I need to know what everybody thinks about the Fox F3 boot, Gaerne SG10, Alpinestars tech 3,Alpinestars Tech 8, Alpinestars tech 6, Alpinestars tech 7, I really liked the Tech 7's I tried them on at a local dealer and liked the feel and support, please notify me on all of the boots if they are good for knee guards and large calfs, durability, comfort and all of thre other things that you would put into consideration when buying a new pair of boots, please give me as much imput as you can on the F3's because I am seriously considering those because of the price and things that I have heard about them, I am also seriously considering the tech 7's. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx

I wore Tech 6's I was very impressed with them coming from Oneal M-840's. Comfortable and did their job with protection.

You can't really go wrong with any of those boots. The SG-10 and Tech 8's are very popular

I ride with the Oxtar and Sidi Force. The Oxtar have a nice opening for Knee brace but the Sidi's opening is real small. I like both a lot, I have skinny feet and the Sidi Force are nice for that. If your foot is wide I wouldn't pick the SIDI. I like the Tech 8 haven't tried the 7's or the F3's but the Pro Forma I did try and didn't fit me well and seemed real heavy. The SG 10 were great. The price and fit (for my slim feet) is why I pick the SIDI over the SG 10.

A wise man once told me to never purchase boots or a helmet based on a low price. He said those two protective items should be the best and I could get cheaper pants and whatnot to make up the difference.

I'm not a fan of the f3's. SG10's are good, Tech 3's arent good, Tech 8's are good, They don't make the Tech 6 anymore, Tech 7's are comfortable, and have good support.

If you are conserned about space for large knee guards, I would just go ahead and go with the Gaerne SG10's, they have the most calf/knee & shin guard room.

Ive got a pair of Alpinestars Tech 3s. Overall they are pretty decent boots, but the buckles are kinda cheesy.
They are often hard to get buckled and Ive had a few times where they would come unsnapped on me.
You cant expect much from a pair of boots that sells for under $200 though.
IMO, you should get the most expensive pair of boots you can afford. More expensive boots protect your ankles better than cheap boots.
If I had it to do over again, Id buy cheap riding gear and instead spend the money on Tech 8s and an Arai helmet.

I've had anti-bootie boots only, and do not know if I would like boots with a bootie has anybody gone from anti-bootie boots to bootie boots, or vise-versa? If so please tell me which one you liked better and your reasons. Thanx

I have had both, Bootie fill in all the voids in the boot making them feel very well fitted to your foot(feel nice actually) I wear non bootie boots because I am lazy and hate fiddling with the boot not steping in any dirt then getting on the boot over the bootie, holding the tab on the rear of the bootie so it doesn't slip under my foot. Great feel, can take them out and wash them, good ankle support. Again I am lazy really is my only gripe against them.

I've had 2 pairs of the tech 6's so I really can't give a report on the others. Contrary to belief they still make and sell them. Takes a little bit to break them in but I really don't like the 8's or 10's...they felt "funny" to me.

Does anyone know if the A-star tech 7's compare too the tech 10's, reviews say that they are both pretty similar, except the 7's being without a bootie. What do you guys like best out of the Tech 7's,tech 10's and the tech 8's and your reasons for your decisions, please. Thanx for all of your help

i just bought one of my boys a pair of f3 fox boots for his birthday they are a really nice looking boot, they give good support without being to stiff.he seems to like them heaps. i don't go much for those alpine stars, i reckon their overated. all the blokes i see wearing them walk around as if they are carring lead weights on the bottom. personally i prefer ox star with the inner bootie.
