Well, i just got back from Cycle Gear, but i went to a different one and they didn't have many...
But i did get to try on the One Ind. Trooper, and it was light and felt pretty good...

But, i tried on a No Fear Optimal 2 Helmet too...and it felt almost as light as the Trooper and felt about the same?
At half the price??

I tried on alot more, but not much to say about those...

I still want to try on some TLD's and the Thor Force, but i figured i'd update.

Also, Char, i got a chest protector! A Six Six One, just like the one you let me borrow, except red...and it was on clearance for $28.

And i got red Fox pants on sale too...now i won't look like Skittles out on the track. And they fit alot better than the Thor pants.

Well Miles has a Thor and I have a TLD. It'll probably be a while before you can try on my lid though...

I had a NoFear as my first helmet... wouldn't recommend.

Yeah, that's what i was thinking about the No Fear, it felt good on my head, but i don't know..while holding it and whatnot, it feels pretty..non protective. >.<

The Trooper felt pretty good...but i think i could probably find a better TLD helmet for the price of the Trooper...

And the Troopers mouthpiece is like,...3 inches away from my chin!
It sticks way out there.

Yea... I really don't like long helmets. I'm sure you saw how close fitting mine is...

Char,
You mentioned that you didn't care for the fit of your Arai, after a brief period of lights out this past August I have deceided not to scrimp on a bucket. What didn't you like? What is your head shape? My local shops sell Arai but don't stock and charge a 20% restock on returns Thanks for the info

My head is..uh... round?

Seriously, I didn't care for the way the cheekpads fit or the way the helmet felt on the back of my head, near the crown. The Shoei was just an overall better fit for me.

Alright, after reviewing helmets...i think i may have found a few Bell Moto8's i like.

Yeah- indecisive, i know.

Now, i have the decision to make between..

The first one i can get on eBay for $189. plus shipping..about 205 total

But, the second and third one are most appealing..

Gah.

This helmet choosing is tough business.

Oh!
Also, i'm watching this helmet on eBay.

I like this one...looks wise the most.
Ohh it's so sweet.

If i can get this one for the price it's at right now ($220) i'll probably end up getting it...
It still has 3 days...so i'm not too sure..

after one time, 35 years ago, I swore that I would never have something black on my head again!! flat black would be the only thing that i would rather not have than gloss black. beauty being in the eye of the beholder of course.
