I believe it's around $100. A lot of people have done it and love it. I just haven't dared do it to mine for fear that it will make it less reliable, but if I wasn't renting it out, I would probably do it in a heartbeat.

That sounds reasonable for a price???

I think I may do it eventually as it sounds like it is better for the starter/compression release than just doing the free cam mod that will make the starter work a lot harder?:

That's what I've heard also is that it is better to put the YZ cam in it.

Oh, BTW I was told to replace that oil plug thingy if you do the cam mod as you will likely blow out the stock one??

Had any probs with yours??

I heard Motoman had his blow out on his bike a while back!?:

Probably Bob at Magnolia tractor? I get a 15% discount at Yamaha, so I might be willing to bring one up to you at St. Anthony next month.

Huh?? Are you talking about the plug on the front of the motor that people have complained of losing from time to time?

Yes.

I ordered a blue anodized one and am going to replace the original eventually.

You know where to find me for the cam if you need it. I'll find out a price for you if you need me to. I thought about ordering me a plug for the motor, but it doesn't seem too common, so I haven't to date. How much was the plug?

15 bucks plus shipping.

I heard it is more common with the cam mod, but like I said, Jim had his blow out shortly after getting his 450 bike??

You can P.M. me a price on the cam when you find out.

Thanks bro!

Sounds good. I guess it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get the plug. I'll have to see. If it did pop out I'm sure it would have been worth the $15.

Right.

Especially if you happened to be 20 miles out at St. Anthony or something!

No, I decided I've never needed one to date, so I'll just live without it.

Do they make one in red, black or silver? I don't want blue on my white YFZ.

That IS a good deal on the exhaust cams!

I may order one in a few weeks.

As for the Billet plugs, they only had silver or blue at the time I ordered.

Yeah, I here ya about the colors. Red would DEFINATELY be my first choice, but I'd still rather have blue than plain old silver.
