yfz450 plug

Default yfz450 plug

yesterday i went to the dunes in mississippi was riding all day then at 1 point the bike shut off tried starting and a whole bunch of white smoke came out rode it like dat see what happens so the smoke stopped but then as im riding i hear something pop i look down at the engine and i see all my oil shooting out. so i went back to truck checked it out and noticed that there was a plug right in front of the radiator fan missing that shot out while i was riding has this ever happen to anyone else?

That is a common problem with the 04/05 YFZs.
They make a kit that fixes this problem. It consists of a plug and set screw.
Type in YFZ oil plug kit into google and it should bring it up.

Also, check with Woody here at the ATM store. He may also have these plugs available.

iv been doing a little research and i see that it is only on the 04/05 models and it crazy how it happens but thanks alot.

Yes. The problem was fixed with the 06' and later models.
