I was wondering how often you need to adjust valves for my YFZ?

Also how will I know?...what are some signs that it needs to be done?

I was at Sparks Racing the other day, and asked them how long 'til I need to worry about the valve adjustment. The guys there said I'm good for at least 8 months before they need to be adjusted, and not to even worry about it on the first service.
I'm going with that plan on mine.

It seems like the book says every six months. I checked mine when I did the cam mod after owning it for a year and I only needed to adjust one valve slightly. Most people I know are finding they don't go out of spec too often. I will check mine on an annual basis.

I wouldn't worry about your valve adjustment until they start making a tapping, or every 8-10 months or so, they are pretty easy to check though you just need a feeler gauge, but when you have to adjust them finding a new spacer is hell (at least here)

That's why I bought a shim kit from the ATM store. It makes it easy to make adjustments. I have owned my YFZ for 1.5 years and have only had to adjust one valve and it was still within spec, I just changed it so that it was more in the middle of the specs.
