Default for those with a Blaster...

did anyone know that all you have to do is unplug the plugs for the key and it will still run? i am bad at loosing keys and never get a new one in time to race(been a while but i have) so i unplugged it and tried it.......then.......BBBRRRAAAPPPP!!! she ran fine. so i left it out. does this work for any other quads? wouldn't think it is any different than a bike not having one right? weird topic aint it LMFAO

Don't know how common that really is, but it wouldn't surprize me if it was common.

Seems like almost ANY used quad you buy, has this (key start) removed.

Works on any quad I've tried it on. The off position on the key grounds out the ignition rather than breaking the power circuit to the quad like it does on a car. That is what a tether kill switch does too. When you pull it out it the circuit closes to gound out the engine. Taking the key out of the quad only stops the thrill rider not the thief. Colt 45's are for them.

Yeah any bike/quad can easily be hot wired like that.

That's why you gotta keep um locked up

If you have a manual start bike just unplug them, For electric start simply unplug them then just connect the power wire to the feed wire.
That's why street bikes have steering locks. withs a 3" piece of wire and a screw driver you can fire any street bike up in less then 30 seconds

It will work on the blaster but for the banshee, you have to complete the circuit by connecting the wires in order for it to run. Just a little info to pass on. (but only to us honest ones)

i had a blaster and figured out that worked. Then i sold that hunk of junk and bought a TRX 450R, crashed that 3 days after i got it and broke out the ignition... luckily the key part doesn't matter on that either if you just take it out and disconnect the circut. I'm sure it's the same with all quads.
