Default spark arrestor missing?..

I recently went out on riding and noticed my 03 wolverine exhaust was sounding pretty deep and loud .When i returned home i notice that my spark arrestor that bolts in the rear of the exhaust is gone.what impact will this have ?.. im talking negative such as loss of back preesure increased temps?.. anyone know.I can tell you that this machine hauls right now. i gained about 5-7 mph on the top end and improved low end incredibly. thanks

it helps the bike breathe better ........i would say a re-jet and you would be OK .......and about the 5-7 mph gain thing .........i highly doubt it ....i would say its the "the louder it is the faster you go" thing again .....it may seem that you are going faster but i doubt it

I know that that i gained mph because my buddy was racing me on his grizzly that has a speedo and i usually tail behind him at wot(wide open throttle) ,but i was actually ahead of him.( i know that a 350 wolverine is not faster than a 660 grizzly but the grizzly has had some hiccups and a very bad belt which limits it to 55 mph,of course according to its own speddo.)Im just concerned that i might do more damage if the arrestor was keeping some sort of back pressure on the motor or valves.other than that i like the way it runs and sounds.

The only concern would be it running a little lean.....Is it backfiring?Sputtering?
