Your quad shocks are all three almost exactly the same as a dirt bike shock.

And yes you need nitrogen. As far as getting it, you best bet is to just take it to a shop and have them fill them up once you are done because getting it yourself isn't worth the effort and would cost more than it would cost to get them filled from someone else.

If you were going to do it a lot it would be worth it, but if not, it wouldn't be.

You will just use Air (pump or air compressor) until you take it in to get it filled. Just make sure they empty it first before filling. You also won't bring them up to full pressure. 20lbs would be fine until you can get them filled with the real thing. Just don't ride with them.

You don't call the front forks, shocks. You call them forks. So yes, the rear shock or simply put by those of us who are bike riders, the shock

I need to learn how to get my ELKA's set up right. Seems after every race, I have to change something. I FINALLY got the rebound right, now it's compression to deal with. I also need to find another set of "slave" springs and put them in to make them a quad rate. The triple rate has WAY to much room on top of the preload adjuster. I just can't lower them enough without having them bind up on the seperators. O'well, they work good enough for now

Have ya got to try them out yet 2fun?

I don't know anything about the dune edition elk's, but I would suggest the upgrade to anyone. I have an 05 yfz, and I went with the elka tripple rate sport series shocks and Jansen +2 a-arms. It is sooooo worth the money!!!! It's like a whole new bike, I'm sure if you contact Jansen Motorsports they could build you a set-up with the dune shocks. I just wish I could afford the rear elka to match. By the way I don't know if any one else is using Jansen A-arms, but if your in the market check them out. They have a free replacement deal I thought would be bogus, but after a run in with a rather large rock they shipped me a new one. All I paid for was the powder coating, and shipping. Here there web info. excellent group working there.
