Default 1987 Warrior 350 Spark Issue

I just bought a 1987 warrior not running.

New parts:
Engine Rebuilt
Coil
CDI
Rectifier/Regulator
Full Wiring Harness
Stator
Plug
Handlebar electric controls and keyswitch

The guy told me it wouldnt start bc the carb needed to be cleaned, and guaranteed it had spark. well guess what, got it home and no spark. it would spark one time when i first hit the start button and thats it.

keep in mind it has a brand new stator, but he gave me the original OE stator and another brand new one in package. also gave me all old electrical components

so i decided to swap in the other brand new stator and it had spark. i probably ran it about 5 times, shut it off the 6th time and went to start it again and then guess what, no spark again. i checked everything, and swapped out each new component with the oem parts (coil, cdi, reg) and still nothing. so now i just swapped in the original 1987 stator and now i have spark again.

i am wondering what is going on here. why was the first brand new stator bad and why did the second one only last 1.5 hours???

thanks
