HELLO EVERYONE.....ok here we go... Stock motor, HMF quiet race series slip on, Ehs prefilter lid, and stock air filter. Hmf site says 170main, 48 pilot, and 2.5 on the needle. does that sound about right, for the desert and Glamis? Also has any one ran into a problem adding the pro-tapper atv/high bars? I fixed the problem with the parking brake and clutch cables by re-routing them to the other side of the frame, but the brake line is about 2"s to short...Just wondering if the only way to solve the problem is with aftermarket brake lines? Thanks!!!! Ed Williams

Those jetting specs sound like they're pretty close. As far as your brake line problem, the only fix I'm aware of is to get some aftermarket lines. Welcome to the site!!

For the brakes, I say keep playing with the routing of your cables. I added a fat bar clamp that raised the bar position a bit + flexx bars that raised it even more and after messing with all my cables I had plenty of room.

Thanks for the repies, I picked up the jets today. There was no way of rerouting the brake line, but I found a guy here in town that made me the exact same brake line, only four inces longer. I had to do some searching because they have to be D.O.T. certified to do brake lines, but at least I can ride this weekend instead of waiting for parts......

On the 05, you need a 178 main.............trust me on this. My 06 is running a 170 and the 06's are jetting leaner due to head changes. Get a 178.

Thanks NYMXer for the heads up on the leaner jetting for the '06. I used the same 175 main as my '05 had, and it seems a little lean with the same mods. I'm adding a "power now" (see other thread)and now is a good time to get it dialed in.
