hi all i just got my self this rm125 now i cant find a id plate on it so im not to sure of the year im thinking 1988 i need to buy a new stator coils what other years are the same

Based on the blue engine, makes me think it's a '90 or '91. I owned a '91 though it didn't have the blue engine and it had more purple, so maybe a 1990? The quads from '89 - '91 had blue engines, so maybe an '89? You're close on the year, I'm not for sure though.

ok i found out its a 88 will a stator and flywheel from a 89 fit?

Well it is defiantly pre 1991 because I own one myself and this looks nothing like it. It must be pre 89 because the years of similarity of suzuki's are 89 on forward past 91. In those years they had inverted forks as a first difference. So I would have to say that it's 86-88 because they didn't put disk brakes in thhe back until around 84.

Oh, I didn't see that. It's a slim chance that it would fit. I would check with a local dealer to see if it would, they should be able to give you an answer. Just go to te suzuki.com and use the dealer locater.

go look up parts numbers on the bikes. I find for my street bike, every ninja part and most other kawsi fit too...

Yes it's an 88
You need to get rid of the 250 pipe on it though.

that is older then an 88. its 87 or older. the 88 to 91 is basically the same bike and it looks way different then that. i have a 89.

It's an 88
87s had rear drum brakes and 89s looked like this.

ok, looks like we have some guys on this thread that knows a little bit about rm's, so i have a question that i cant seem to get an answer for so i will try here.. I have a 1991 rm 125 body that is missing the engine, what all year rm 125 engines will bolt right in my 1991 body?

Agreed. I know when I was looking for engine parts for my '91 the '89-'91 were usually the same.
