Default Steering out of Alignment

I just purchased my son a 2005 Suzuki RM85

He had a spill and now the steering does not line up true.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to correct this please? Is it as simple as loosening the steering stem head nut and re-aligning, or is there more to it?

Jim

First thing, check the handlebars to see if they're bent...also the mounts. If that's all good, the forks are probably tweaked (twisted). I usually slightly loosen the fork clamps, first...especially if they're waaay out of line. Then stand in front of the bike, facing rearward and with the front wheel tightly clamped between your legs. Grab the handlebars and gently twist them straight, then retighten the clamps
