Ive come down to the fact that I want to buy an FMF power core 2 or shorty silencer. In california-you have to have an spark arrestor no matter what. So I was wondering where I can find a spark arrestor that you can pretty much just bolt on and off. I've searched the web and I've only found ones for the stock silencer on my bike. Any help would be great! Thanks

The only one that I know of it the Pro Circuit Nature friendly spark arrester. They claim no power loss.

right now I already have a turbine core 2 silencer(spark arrestor). I'm just looking for a new silencer with a slight power increase-but when I go racing I can take off the spark arrestor. Thanks for the reply though

If you have a Turbine Core 2 now, why not just get an FMF Powercore silencer and just swap them when you go racing? Swapping out the whole silencer isn't much harder than removing a Sparky or something like that.

I never thought of that because one "mechanic" down at the local shop said that rejetting would be required when you swap silencers So...is jetting required or does it not make that big of a difference if I do or not??

Well, the mechanic was right, to an extent. Jetting changes might be required with a different silencer. But then again, they're just as likely to be required by a slip-on Cobra Sparky too, when compared to just a stock silencer.

It shouldn't be that much of a difference,, Jet it with the racing silencer and there will be a little power loss with the spark arrestor, but may or may not be noticable.

As was briefly mentioned, the Cobra Sparky would do the trick too.
