quick ? about rm 250

hi everyone. i have a quick ? about a 96 rm 250. a freind and i just bought a 96 rm 250 and we was told it had an ignition problem. so we started tearing it apart and we think someone has messed with the stator because there is wires fused together and we had found a wire that had been cut. we have not removed the flywheel yet because we had no puller. so i have been looking on different websites to find all the wiring for the stator, and to no avail have found the answer to this ?. is all the wiring included when you buy the stator. i just dont want to order a new stator to find out it doesnt come with the wiring. however it is at the moment cuducting a spark just very weak. any help on this ? is very appreaciated. thank you all

You need a manual. I've got a '94 RM125. I bought it with no spark and it was a bad stator. And about 40 hours later it's bad again.

yeah i have a manuel on the way. i had just bought this on sun. so i was just trying to ask some of you who are more familiar with the rms. we have figured that it is a bad stator so that is were we are starting, and hopefully it will fire up. ill keep you all posted.

the trick is to get an Ohm meter (muti tester) and check out the electronic components and see what there reading. if they read what there supposed to, the part is good
u can also test the stator and really see if thats the problem.

things to test whith the meter in this order : Stator coil - Ignition coil - CDI box. ther also is like a condenser unit on that year(basicly a large capacitor) that stablizes the spark and puts out a strong even signal. that too can be tested i belive, i may be wrong. its been a while

dont just throw parts at it ... 800$ later ur in the same spot just to find that there was a gummed up connection in one of the connectors that promoted a bad spark.
