Default Keihin Carb HELPPPP

I have a 1998 Suzuki RM 250. Recently I have had problems with the keihin pwk carb leaking fuel out of the overflow. I took the carb off and readjusted the floats and cleaned all the jets, reinstalled and the same problem.
I took the carb off and took it to a suzuki shop and they told me the needle seat was wore out and could not be replaced, I would need a new carb.
So I bought a brand new Keihin carb put it on and it does the EXACT same thing! I took the bowl off and checked and readjusted the floats again and it still does the same thing.
Helppp what am I missing?

I bet the dealership was quick to tell you to buy a new carb.

Mine is doing the same thing and I am pretty sure that either the float height is messed up from the float being stuck in the carb or the float is not adjusted properly. Try tapping the carb body to free the float to allow it to shut off the fuel flow, if it doesnt work you are gonna have to take it apart and reclean it.

Well I found a bunch of black crap in the bottom of My carb coming from the inside of the rubber hose that leads to the carb from the tank. I never would have thought that but I did replace that hose with a rubber one I had laying around a few months ago. I went and got the neoprene hose from the bike shop and I'm going to try that.

Just to let yo know, this morning I got my bike started, just like I thought I tapped the carb quite firmly a few times and the fuel stopped flowing out the overflow. It must have been stuck, I guess my Clymer was right. It then fired right after two kicks. I am quite surprised it worked, its weird that they would manufacture a carb to get stuck like that. So if your still overflowing after whatever you are doing, give that a try.

There is a possibility that it will stick again. I would open it up and make sure the arms straight and the tube is not touching the floats at all.

I will keep an eye on the overflow and make sure it is not leaking, if so I will do as you say. Thanks
