Default first ride on 98 rm125

well took the bike out for the first time since getting it. the bike runs really good, but it seems to have a small prob.taking off and coming out of corners you have to clutch it a couple of times to kick in the power band, but once it kicks in you better be hanging on . the bike runs really good. is this a jetting issue? what would you suggest? never really done any jetting before and any info would be appreaciated.

with bad reeds you wouldnt have any power at all. what exactly is it doing? bogging? 125s really do need a bunch of clutch work to keep them in the power band.

well with a little more looking the plug looks to be fouling out, so i think i will start there and replace the plug before my next ride this weekend. the guy that i got the bike from said it was a new plug in it, but we all know how that goes. i have not had that much experiance with 125's , and i know that to compare them with 250's is kind of dumb. so my problem is that when i take off it seems to gradually pick up speed until i clutch it , then the powerband kicks in. do you think i need to change the color of my powerband? just kidding, but thanks for responding

enter in a lower gear i used to ride a 06 450f yami come in 4th gear and tap the gas clear a local big table called westwood no problem no i come into the corner way faster throw it in second speed shift it out and seat bounce and i can clear it on loamy days and muddy rutted days on a dry hard day forget it...BUT IT IS WAY MORE FUN ...and alot cheaper no matter how hard you ride them period. and it is same exact gearing.
