Default Dented and kinked exhaust pipe question

Hey guys, i have full fmf system on my 95 rmx250....when i got the bike 5yrs ago it was already alil beatup...over last few years I have banged it up abit also. There's a few good sized dents in it but more concerning is 3-4" out of cylinder where pipe goes around frame tube it looks like it is kinked a bit (not nice a round) bike has always ran pretty darn good. However, I have been chasing around for a couple of years a slight (what sounds like to me) ping only at low rpms while barely on throttle....ive jetted, rejetted checked for airleaks...so my question is, could the dented kinked pipe possibly be causing this due to less air flow equalling higher temperatures? I 've tried everything else to rectify this little ping/preignition....I will post some pics asap. Thanks in advance, Tony

I have never heard of it causing that, doesn't mean it can't, but it would be good for you to remove them and report back the results.
