Default 1999 rm125 bogs

Hey guts I'm new here and am having a bit of trouble with my bike, it's a 1999 rm125 the compressons right at 120 which I know is a bit low, but it starts 1st or 2nd kick almost every time, has great mid and high end power and idols smooth. However when in a slow roll about 2 mph and you gunn it, it boggs down for a sec then takes off like a bat out of hell. It seems like it may just be running rich, I've played with the airscrew and it helped a bit but not much. Just wondering what u guys thought. Also I just cleaned the carb and cleaned all the jets.

Thanks, Mike

The airscrew will fine tune the pilot circuit for off-idle performance but it only does so much.

If your screw is out from seat more than maybe 2.5 turns, you need a smaller jet.

If your screw is out from seat less than maybe 1.5 turns, you need a larger pilot jet.

The needle position has a minor affect in the lower RPM but it's more for the mid range transition, so your pilot jet is what needs to be altered based on what you describe.

Awsome! Thanks for the info! I have a 165 jet I'll through in and see if that helps, do you think this will be to small?
