Default 1992 RM250 idle *REBUILD*

Ok so I have rebuilt the engine top to bottom..

also a new valve guide on the left side has been replaced..

when i first started it after everything beeing rebuilt..

it idles high. and idles up n down up n down.
and it sounds like a sled engine doesnt have that beautiful ting of a 2stroke engine.

is my valve not working properly or is my expansion chamber not creating the back pressure, or do i just need to work in the brand new valves an rings.

much help would be awsome before somthing does break.

i would run it around through the gears ...make sure everything is working and fluid levels are good ...see if the power is there, listen for any wierd noises and if somthing is still not right then you'll have to pick it apart

ok.. found out the vibration, my drive clutch basket.

warped, and its not the right one for the engine..

my engine is a 250N model# 28C, and this basket was a 28E lol

i just bought a new water pump case and its grinding on the inside metal to metal.

So when i get that new basket next week sometime i'll post up an update.

it still sounds like a damn snowmobile?

ratio is 20:1 maybe 25:1 for the breakin.

there is one thing not right. The pipe that came with the bike im sure wasnt the right pipe its not seating in the hole properly and it spits a bit.

now when i rode it, it seemd as powerband was instantly. I have a yz that runs just fine soo i know about the no bottom end power, this 2stroke has instant power everysingle gear i can be doing 5-10khms an put it in 5th an 1/2 throttle an pull the front wheel up sitting on theee tank INSTANTLY. sooo either this is one CRAZY engine or my vaalves are stuck open an im stuk on powerband.

IVE loosend tightend taken my cover off watcccheddd the arm see what itdoes when revvd, all seems fine..

if i cant find the shizznazzin problem soon ill just strip it for winter an put the engine in the shop and have it reaaaaseembled by them loollll
