Short version is I need a fork rebuild kit for a 1994 kx 250 and can't find one.
Long Version-Went to the local
Kawi dealer for some help since I couldn't find a rebuild kit myself. Dealer looks up Pivot Works kits and they don't list a rebuild kit for a 1994 kx 250. They do however list a kit for 1994-1998 kx 125(part #PWFFK-K02-521). So, we compare part numbers between the '94 125 and the '94 250. Seals, bushings, o'rings etc. and they are the same. (I verified this myself at the dealer and again at kawasaki.com) Ordered the kit for the 125 and it is not correct. I do some research online and learn that the 94 250 has 43mm kyb and the 94 125 has the 46mm kyb. More research shows that Honda also used the 43mm around 93 and 94 in the cr250 and I believe Yamaha also did around the same years. So why can I not find a rebuild kit for the inverted 43mm kyb fork? Please and thank you.... I need to get the boingers fixed asap. Also, forks have had pro circuits kyb works kit installed. This doesn't change any hard parts does it, just valving right?
