KX 500 OIL???

I am going to drop the engine/gear oil on my 92 KX500. As i haven`t got a manual yet does anybody know how much to put in??

On my CR there is an oil check bolt you take out. If yours' has one, take it out and fill the trans with oil on level ground until it drips out, then tq it down, reinstall the oil fill cap, and you're set.

My CR takes like 3/4 a QT if I recall correct. I run the premix at 32:1 with Amsoil Dominator and 93 octane pump fuel.

It takes 800cc however, there is an oil sight glass on the right hand crank case cover....fill it up so the level is half way up in the glass, on level ground with the bike standing upright! Use a good quality synthetic gear oil and your transmission will shift smoother and your clutch will thank you!
