| I have a 2004 that has broke the intake skirt on the original and a oem replacement piston. I'm thinking a bent rod, any ideas out there? Both pistons were kawi stock. I heard that some models of KXFs have weak pistons has anyone heard of KXs have that issue? Thanks. |

| in my opinion its got to be excessive wear to the rings causing enough room to clip the port...or even top end bearing wear, its defo got to be wear somewhere on the top end...but im sure you would have noticed a bent rod while running the machine for it to cause damage( bad detonation )... a strip down would give the awnser... and compare old ring with new ones when assembling..... let me know how you get on ! |
