![]() Alright i recently got a 99 kx250 and i knew it had problems when i got. so i got it started after replacing some gaskets and seals and cleaning out the carb. when i start it and ride, the power valves aren't working and it doesnt seem to have any power even without the power band working. ive already cleaned the jets in the carb so i dont know why it would be so groggy. please help thanks. |

![]() The power valves not working will affect the power delivery. Get that sorted out and you should notice a difference. |

![]() alright i cleaned the power valves and put new reeds in the bike and its still not kicking in. when it idles it seems to hit high rpms but once i put it in gear it just wont open up. spent about half an hour messing with the air flow/gas jet but still nothing. |

![]() If it will rev on the stand under no load but will not rev under load... Have you checked the compression. If so, what was the reading? Have you checked the float height? Are your power valves working? If not, why? Paw Paw |

![]() You need to have the valves timed correctly. They need to be set exactly as the manual shows. |
