Angry 1998 Kx100.. Odd problem

Bought a 1998 kx100... The man pulled up with it and fired it right up. We got
It off the truck I hopped on and fired it right up and took off for about 5 minutes to see if it went through all the gears and rode good. No problems that I could tell. I ended up parking it and going back to work after he left. About 20 minutes later I went out to kick it over and it wouldnít start. Took the plug out, was fouled so I assumed I didnít let it warm up good before taking off. Replaced the plug and nothing. I can bump start it for about 4 seconds it will give a really bogged idle then when I hit the gas it dies. Iím assuming one of the jets is clogged but at the same time Iím confused as to why it started up fine then as soon as he leaves havenít been able to ride it since.

Maybe the carb is overflowing. So if the PO knew that, he may have left the petcock off until he was ready to start it. If you left it parked with the petcock on, that may have allowed it to flood while it was parked. A clogged jet will cause a lean condition, not a rich condition (fouled plug). I'd pull the carb and check for the condition of the needle/seat.

Thanks for the help I didnt think about that. I ended up grabbing a needle jet and needle after work today the carb is spotless but still same thing except now Iv noticed a noise coming from the bottom end sort of like a spinning noise when I kick not the same winding noise when a bike starts but like a dry spinning noise. Kind of strange.. crank kit?

Check the air filter, and if it is clean take a look at the reeds.

"Spinning noise" is a tough thing to diagnose over the internet, I'd start by making sure it has oil in it, and if it does go ahead and drain/refill just so you know what you're dealing with. If you still hear the sound I'd start by checking the clutch components for wear then dig deeper as necessary until you find the problem.

Cleaned the air filter it wasn’t bad, clutch looks brand spanking new.. oil was good ended up taking the cover off to the flywheel and the nut that goes on the crank fell out! The threads are smashed unfortunately. Flywheel slid right off the woodruff key was stuck inside of it.. I’m pretty sure the guy got the nut on as tight as he could but only could get it about halfway, enough to get one quick test ride in then pop went the nut smashing the top 3 threads
