 Will 2000 Cr250 Top end fit on a 1996 cr250 bottom end? I found a 2000 Cr250 cylinder for sale and I am wondering if it will fit on my 1996 Cr250 bottom end. I know I will probably have to match it with a 2000 piston, but I am wondering if I can use this on my 1996 Honda Cr250  |

 The 2000 cylinder will fit and work on your '96 cases. I recommend using an aftermarket piston like Wiseco to get around the Honda AB fitment issue, in fact I would use all the associated Wiseco parts (wrist pin, circlips, bearing), as well. The 2000 cylinder has excellent port timing and is a pretty stout runner. If you can find a 2000 carb (38mm Keihin PWK quad vent air styker) and a Vforce 3 reed along with a decent aftermarket pipe, you will have a "monster" motor. dogger |
