Default Two many 250r projects, cylinders qestions

Hi I am a bit of hoarder, of honda 2t engines mainly good cases and complete bottom ends. Have a about one of every year since the first hpp 85-91 to the later 07 RC valves and and two cr500r's.

Question is basicly what the heck can we do about all the units with niksil bore that are damaged, Re nik them stock size a few are badly damaged for a re nik?

Got three 02-07 cylinder to fix, gotta do at least two! and One 91, a 97, and many more less needed.

Whats the cheapest option, to fix all these? almost all have the power valves intacted and some are a bit stuck

Sleeve them with La 270 kit is almost the cheapest option, still at 290 just for the kit not installed! how much is the install?

Did one cr 2006 forward motion 265 and it rips but I cant afford another $550 kit plus shipping I think it was $450 a few years ago when eir gorr was in charge of that side of things

Selling the unfixed engines would be sad, but who can afford to fix at least 5 plus maybe 3 or more cr250r

This might be a sign that I bought to many baskit cases over the years. bahahaha

Any I ideas guys

You can get a cylinder replated and shipped for about $240-$260, if that is what you are asking? Also, the plating company may be interested in buying your damaged cylinders.

If they don't need any welding repairs (just strip, re-plate, and hone), then PowerSeal in Pennsylvania will do it for under $200.

I think you need 5-10 posts to be able to upload pics. Not sure of the actual amount of posts.

The easiest way is to upload them to a hosting service like photo-suckit (more commonly known as photobucket) or imgur and then link to them here. If you're not aware of the photo-suckit issue, google "photobucket hotlink fix for firefox" (or whichever browser you typically run) and install the patch so that you don't have to pay photo-suckit to view your photos when you link to them

Thanks never needed a hosting site yet. after what i heard, hope i never do

Im just happy to I got some shop space to move onto other projects, Im just about done with my honda collecting days, time to start adding other brands like kawi.

Collected old rm's back before they where collectable, and ended selling them all for a small profit, maybe a 3rd what there worth today!
