You can use any 4 stroke motorcycle oil however I have had good success with Bel-Ray Gear Saver and Amsoil 10-40W in my 2006 CR250. Just don't put car oil in it because it has friction reducers which are great for cars but won't make your bike's clutch happy. I used to own a DT200R two stroke dual sport and that bike did shift better with the Bel-Ray. There are lots of opinions out there so try some different kinds and see what you think.

I've always used Honda HP trans oil. Used is in all sorts of 2 stroke bikes, banshee's, and trx450R's with no trans or clutch issues that were out of the ordinary.

McRibbs brings up a good point. Pro Honda Oils are great products so you wouldn't go wrong with that either. You know you can always get it at your dealer too.

Sorry Dude! I used to have to make those in order to pay for my racing in high school. I must have been having a flashback to the 80's when I rode a 83 CR125...

Dk,Mr cribbs,
HAHAHA That exchange was just plain funny!!! As far as the tranny oil goes,I love the AMSOIL syn.I use that in my RM,and I just put the Belray gear saver in my IT 250. It seems to work very well also.....Jerry
