 swapping engines Does anyone know what other year engines will bolt in and go on a 1998 cr 250? I can possibly get my hands on a 2002 cr 250 but I don't know if this will mount up and work.               |

| Re: swapping engines The '92 to '01 engines are all the same (externally) and will fit just like your '98 motor does. Lots of guys have taken the older engines ('01 mostly) and put them in their '02-up chassis without much drama. Physically the 2002 engine will fit with some minor work to the front lower mounting holes in the frame and custom or modified head stays. The 'problem' with the 2002 engine in your frame is going to probably be mounting the servo motor and electronics for the exhaust valve. |
