Service Honda CR500--Ride Reports?

I have enjoyed reading some of you folks describe your experiences with the mighty KX500 and CR500.

But I would also be interested in reading a ride report from someone who has spent some seat time on a Service Honda CR500, with the new generation CR250 aluminum frame, and its more nimble weight and handling characteristics, et al. Does anyone on this site race one (vet class)?

NP, you'll find the results very Interesting... The AF is quite the bike. But for $10K it better be right.

Yeah thats a lot of loot, but you gotta figure they are buyin two bike and making one, then parting out the rest of the componants. Heck, come to think of it, they probably make a ton of loot parting out the 250 motor.

If memory serves me correctly, it's a 125 chasis, and Honda still sells them the engines without the bike.

Im pretty sure that the 125 and 250 shared the same chassis until this year and they are definately not using the new 125 chassis on the new 500s from the picture that I say recently on another thread. I think its the ' ugliest bike made' thread or something. Anyway if the chassis is the same on the 125 and 250 prior to 04 like I think, it makes sense to buy 125s for less up front and piece them out.
