Default Porting out Vforce

I noticed my Vforce power valve has about 15-20% blockage where the carb boot is fixed around the intake. I took apart the reeds last night and ported the area to increase air flow coming into the intake.

Wondering if I am going to need to increase jet size for mains? What to do with the needle? raise it ?

I didnt hack it out. I used a dremel and radiused everything so the boot flows through like gasket matching. I used the same porting procedures for porting heads on a car(ie gasket matching).

I would say there was about 10-15% of the area blocked

Looking into the boot going into the reeds it looked like this(poor ASCI attempt):

-------------------
-..................----- <-- this is the part on the Vforce that is blocked looking in the air boot
-..................-----
-..................-----
-------------------

After the porting:
