Darn, Faded,,you disappoint me!! Here you go and put this great post up that many of us direct people to on setting the float and don't tell this man about it!!! Go on, tell him!

Andy, I am sorry to dissapoint you. I forgot to include that nugget of information the first time...

Bif, before you think about rejetting you need to set your float level; click here for the how-to.

Just to reiterate though, you need to fix the exhaust leak before rejetting!

come to think of it, a bad float level or needle and seat is pretty similar to the leaky exhaust sucking air back in or losing some of it's reversion. makes jetting tough until you have all that taken care of. just one of the things any of us can have that pros have.

Do you have to have the O-ring on when you put the permatex on? Or can you put the permatex on without an o-ring?

Crankcase seal. My son's CR85 was running to rich and it constantly fouled plugs and was blowing oil out of the exhaust lots of oil. We thought maybe it was the packing in the silencer we thought we needed to rejet it. But it was just a crank case seal he accidentally added too much oil. Easy fix hope this helps somebody.
