awesome Oil question!!! Need help!!!

Hey guys, so the other day I dumped my cr125 pretty had ice riding, and broke the whole perch off and lever and even snapped the clutch cable. Anyways I took the clutch cable off tonight and when I took the stator cover off it was bone dry in there, is there supposed to be oil in there? I thought there was supposed to be but maybe I am wrong. The bike is a 2003 CR125r. Thanks!
