Hi Guys,
My son just got a CR85 expert needing a little TLC. We are new to two strokes and could use a little help....links, books, etc. I have a CRF230F, and have a possible trade for a CRF400. How does this sound? We are looking to do a little track riding vs trails.

Make that a CRF450R. Told you I'm new!

Welcome to ATM. I can't help you with the two-stroke. But just remember, he will be needing a CRF150R between now and the time he needs a CRF250R.
But seriously, if you're not racing, the 85 should last him a good while.

Also, the trade for the CRF450R, definately. Great bike.
Like someone said earlier, the CR85 should last you a while. Those are great race bikes, lots of aftermarket goodies readily avail. 2-strokes are easy to work on and parts, for the most part, are inexpensive. Any help needed on either of these bikes will be easy to find on this site. Alot of super-knowledgable, super-nice people here.
