| hey guys,i just purchased an 86 CR80 for 110 bux,ive been informed it needs crank bearings(supposedly),piston &rings, and a front brake cable. anyways,ive been told it was bored .40 over when he purchased it. but basically i need advice and a bit of help. how can i check and see if the crank bearings are actually shot?and how do i tell if i actually need a piston,or if i just need rings? ill get pics later tonight. -Kenny |

| hay mate l have a cr 80 1986 model to awesome bike one of a kind your answer to your question is to get top and bottom done every thingnew gaskets and all at your local bike shop mate its worth look these bikes are one of a kind look them up on red book thier worth neally $2000 not running so you scored buddy l have heaps of imacculate parts for these bike including forks triple clamps seats platsics fuel tanks wheels plus if you want you can buy an engine of me that runs that has been bored out 110cm3 wiseco piston and all high comp one also l have a swing arm and spare frame if you want any of these things call me ............... |

| Exactly... To the OP... Does it turn over or is it seized? Does it have compression? (assuming it's not siezed!) Answer those and we'll go from there. |

| yeah but it might not be seized could be a bottom gudgen pin becuase very common fualt in these models trust me happend to me over several times just from trail ridding racing and all of them where different bikes but same model l collect them |

| if you have the time and money I would just get a service manual and take it all apart and see what up with it. You could then take any questionable parts you think are causing problems into a local shop to get some better advice. |
