hey guys,i just purchased an 86 CR80 for 110 bux,ive been informed it needs crank bearings(supposedly),piston &rings, and a front brake cable.
anyways, ive been told it was bored .40 over when he purchased it.
but basically i need advice and a bit of help.
how can i check and see if the crank bearings are actually shot?and how do i tell if i actually need a piston,or if i just need rings?
ill get pics later tonight.

To the OP...

Does it turn over or is it seized?

Does it have compression? (assuming it's not siezed!)

Answer those and we'll go from there.

if you have the time and money I would just get a service manual and take it all apart and see what up with it. You could then take any questionable parts you think are causing problems into a local shop to get some better advice.
